An accountant by training, I have worked in financial services, consumer goods, hotel and property development/management, and higher education sectors for more than 20 years. I am currently an independent director of an SGX-listed company providing leadership and strategic advice to a team of experienced executive directors on succession planning, appointment of key management personnel, performance measures and evaluation, remuneration matters, strategic planning, M&A, new business/market development, financial reporting and internal controls, equity and debt funding.
I hold a PhD in Accounting and Finance, five master degrees in business administration, investment and finance, higher education and business research, and digital education. I am a fellow member of several accountancy bodies in Singapore, Australia and UK. I am a Marshall Goldsmith Stakeholder Centered (MGSC) Certified Executive Coach and Certified Team Coach. I am Hogan Certified and hold the MGSC Global Leadership Assessment (GLA360) certification. I am also a member of the International Coach Federation (ICF).
My approach to executive coaching/mentoring encourages new insights into the key capabilities and unique strengths needed to sustain practical behavioral change over time, resulting in the executive’s enhanced self-awareness, being resilient, better decision making, and continuous performance improvement. My coaching style is engaging, transformational, goal oriented and solutions focused. I build trust and good rapport with my clients within a short time frame as I truly care and passionate in supporting them, listen with an open mind, demonstrate empathy, and maintain high confidentiality.
